Roy Lester is principal at Lester & Associates. He has practiced law for more than 40 years, devoting his career to advocating tenaciously for the rights of people caught in grim financial circumstances, helping them to forge a fresh start.

As principal of the firm, he oversees all operations, reviews all cases, and ensures that every client receives equal opportunity under the law.

Background

After earning his Juris Doctorate at the University of San Diego in 1978 and becoming licensed to practice law in California, Roy went to work to provide his clients with the attention and advocacy needed to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Admitted to practice law in New York State in 1984, Roy established his Long Island-based firm Lester  & Associates, poised to develop extensive experience in bankruptcy and foreclosure cases.

Roy was admitted to practice in New York’s Eastern and Southern Districts in 1986 and 1992, respectively, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in 1992.

When not fighting for clients, Roy spends his spare time with his wife and their three children. Appreciating Long Island’s ocean beaches, he is also an avid swimmer and kayaker, and has participated in several triathlons.
